Applicant Procedure

Eligibility

1. Be a blood relative or adopted family member of a blood  or adopted relative of William J. Coleman or Anne B. Coleman, formally of 1200 Hidden Hammock Ct Rockledge, Fl 32955.


2. Be a graduate of an accredited High School or have achieved a GED diploma. 


3. Not be a Grantor, Financial Contributor or Trustee to the Coleman and Wintin Educational Trust. 


4. For an initial grant:

        1. The applicant must be accepted and enrolled in an accredited educational institution, including: 

             Vocational, College, Postgraduate.

        2. The applicant shall provide proof of acceptance / enrollment in the institution. 


5. For successor grants:

        1. The applicant must prove satisfactory progress as defined by the applicant’s institution. 

        2. The applicant shall provide the documentation from the institution defining satisfactory progress.

        3. The applicant will submit the latest tuition bill that was paid. 


Instructions to apply for grant:

1. Applicant sends a letter to Coleman Wintin Education Trust at the following address 

PO Box 690806 Orlando, FL 32869 or emailed to apply@colemanandwintineducationaltrust.com

Include in the letter the following information:

        1. Name

        2. Age

        3. Contact Information

               Address, Phone, Email

        4. Name of the institution that the applicant is attending or is accepted and enrolled into.

        5. Amount of request

        6. Date funds are needed


2. Request is limited to the amount of tuition and fees and subject to a lifetime max of eighty thousand ($80,000.00) dollars. 


3. Include a description of the program.


4. Indicate if the applicant is self-supporting


5. Provide an estimate of the tuition from the institution. For example,

        1. Bill 

        2. Screen shot from the institution’s website

        3. Letter from the institution

        4. Any documentation from the institution showing the tuition.


6. Include how the applicant is related to William J. Coleman or Anne B. Coleman.

Trustees review of the application

1. Once a quarter (more if time sensitive) the Trustees will meet and review the applications. The applicant will be notified of the Trustees’ decision via email. The Trustees’ decision is final.  The applicant can reapply at a future date. 


2. If the application is granted, the applicant will be mailed a check.


3. After receipt of funds, please provide a receipt from the institution.
